Location Mumbai, India

Our Asset Quality Review (AQR) team is an independent key control function in DB Group with high importance in the regulatory environment. AQR is set up globally with locations in Frankfurt, New York, Berlin and Mumbai. Our team consists of seasoned credit analysts with broad and diverse sets of skills and experiences. As an AQR officer, you will be offered opportunities to gain experience in various credit areas across different geographies.

In conducting reviews, AQR assesses credit ratings / consistent application of rating systems, portfolio quality, credit standards and quality of risk management. Reports are directed to the Group Risk Committee and Senior Management.

Your key responsibilities

  • Participate in Asset Quality Reviews assessing individual exposures / ratings / models as well as credit process elements regarding the portfolios with a focus on exposures with higher / high complexity requiring deep subject-matter / technical expertise to ensure consistent delivery
  • Preparation of concise review sheets summarizing the assessment and recommendations
  • Independent discussion of review results with rating analysts / credit officers in cooperation with the leader of the review team, escalation of critical issues to the leader of the review team, and cooperation with experts in other relevant Risk or DB departments
  • Support the leader of a review
  • Gathering of complex individual review results and contribution to review reports for senior management
  • Challenge/ review portfolio analyses or conduct own portfolio analyses
  • Opportunities to participate in portfolio reviews and / or in short-term projects

Your skills and experience

  • MBA in Finance or CA
  • Sound credit background with some years of experience in either banking industry, rating agencies or public accounting firms or some combination thereof
  • Good verbal and written language skills in English. Good command of a further business relevant language welcome
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Good knowledge of credit risk analysis, sound analytical skills
  • Affinity to data / system related topics; computer proficiency (MS Office; knowledge of data base applications is advantageous
  • Solid team player and good communicator
  • Good time management skills and an ability to meet firm deadlines, flexibility to deal with various responsibilities
  • Intercultural competency
  • Good writing and presentation skills to present data and review results clearly and effectively, if necessary also to Senior Management
