DESCRIPTION Do you want to fundamentally change the way India exports? Do you want your work to have a significant impact on the lives of tens of thousands of MSMEs in India who sell across Amazons worldwide marketplaces? Does solving complex problems excite you? Amazon Global Selling has enabled 70,000 Indian exporters to cross $ 3billion in cumulative exports from India that showcase crores of Made in India products today to customers across the world. It took the program three years to hit cumulative exports of $1 billion and it grew 100 PERCENT to hit the next $1 billion in less than 18 months, and now the next $ 1 Billion has been achieved in 12 months! This is a unique leadership role where you would be leading a multi-stakeholder team in articulating and influencing policies for e-commerce exports and to develop strategic partnerships & alliances across state governments, national and state level trade bodies and key industry players such as banking, compliance, VCs, educational institutions, etc. As a Policy and Partnerships program leader for Amazon Global Selling India, you would Drive thought leadership and be the face of Amazon to represent e-commerce exports area Engage with central government ministries to help formulate relevant e-commerce exports polices Engage with state governments to establish partnerships for MSMEs to get onboard the program Build out strategic partnerships with research / educational institutes, VCs, startup ecosystem, and create a coherent e-commerce exports ecosystem To succeed in this role, the Senior Program Manager would require a deep understanding of the end-to-end regulatory environment for exports and the nuances of B2C ecommerce exports which is an evolving area. The leader would need to create vision alignment, value sell Global Selling Program and articulate Global Selling priorities that align with govt. priorities to affect policy changes across both central and state departments/ ministries. The leader would need to nurture relationships with e-commerce exports ecosystem industry players and collaborate with them to provide innovative solutions to help MSMEs scale their exports businesses. Internally, the leader would need to collaborate with leaders from Sales, Marketing, Public Policy, Tax, Legal and Public Relations to ensure strategic objectives of program are met. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 8 years of relevant public policy and advocacy experience, e.g. within corporate public policy and government relations, in public administration, trade associations or non-governmental organizations. Experience in establishing strategic partnerships and alliances to expand ecosystem Public speaking experience in critical industry forums Experience working at high level and collaboratively in a highly-matrixed environment, alongside teams including Legal, PR, and business teams. Exceptional written and spoken fluency in English Strong project management experience. Bachelors degree (B. Com. / B.A. / B. Tech. / B. Sc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS An advanced degree in area of study relevant to the role. A keen working understanding of policy-making processes and government relations, particularly as they relate to exports compliances, customs and taxation. Experience in cross border e-commerce policy advocacy Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. A self-starter who can take general direction and produce specific results. Strong judgment and decision-making skills. Capable of confidently using experience and data to assess and recommend a best course of action even in an ambiguous situation.
