Perform RnD on cutting-edge design methods: Identify gaps in current design flow in terms of improving PPA & propose a solution (or) add new feature, execute CAD projects to evaluate, define/implement, deploy the solution to production flow and provide support during production usage.
Work closely with design teams across the globe in both aspects: IP development, SoC integration & implementation and support them onquality issues identified on existing flow/EDA tools/home-grown tools
Provide solutions to r educe IP vs SoC iterations across the flow
Work closely with EDA vendors to improve the flow quality , resolve issues identified
Provide continuous improvement of the existing design automation flowto support requirements at lower technology nodes
Provide continuous improvement of the existing software systems thatautomates the SoC logic integration flow and generates collaterals
Your profile You are best equipped for this task if you:
Must be able to understand, define and improve design methodologies anywhere across Semi-Custom RTL-to-GDS IP/SoC flow: RTL Analysis, Design Verification (Lint, CDC, Low Power verification), LEC, Synthesis, DFT, PnR, STA, Power Analysis flow. A rich expertise in some of the mentioned area is must.
Must have an engineering expertise to execute Design Flow Development/CAD Projects to resolve deign/platform requirements. This work involves: Gathering requirements to be addressed from design teams, evaluate solutions available in EDA market, and/or develop custom automation to address the issues, test and deploy. May work with multiple resources and may require to lead & drive project management(plan, schedule, drive)
Must possess a strong programming background with a proven record in development of large-scale software projects that are robust and scalable
As we resolve problems faced in flow, you must possess a good appetite for solving complex problems , that involve many stake holder sand impact design performance/schedule
Must have good interpersonal communication skills
Should have good experience & understanding in Low-power design methodologies driven through UPF, timing sign-off and correlation to yield management
Should have experience in Scripting languages: TCL, Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell, etc.
Experience in working cross-functional-teams & support. Worked with EDA CAEs and Internal customers is another advantage
Experience in performing QA and related automation would be preferable
Experience in technically mentoring junior engineers is an advantage
